Looking for a pair of jeans that actually fits? If you have a short frame like me, it can be very difficult to find the right pair of jeans. While there are many brands and styles to choose from, not all of them are flattering. Here are 3 of my all time favorite jeans for petite women.
How to Find the Right Fit
When it comes to finding the perfect jeans, fit is key. Most petite jeans fit similar to regular jeans, but they may have a slimmer cut and an inseam that’s about 2 inches shorter. To find the right size, take your measurements and compare them to the brand’s size chart. Choose a size that’s close to your actual waist measurement.
Zara The Marine Straight Jeans

Wide leg jeans are super flattering and a must-have for a few reasons. First, they create the illusion of height and elongate your frame. This style can really show off your curves because it hugs your curves in just the right places.
I instantly fell in love with the Marine Straight Jeans from Zara. They’re not petite but they fit like a glove. For reference, I’m 5’2 and these didn’t need to be hemmed. They’re cropped and high-waisted so the height was perfect for sandals with a little platform and especially heels. Also, love that the fabric is stretchy and forgiving.
Abercrombie High Rise Dad Jeans

Loose straight leg jeans are often thought of as being unflattering for petite figures, but this isn’t always the case. If you find the right cut and fit, this style can actually make you look taller and slimmer.
Dad jeans have been all over for a while now but I had a hard time finding a pair that looked good on. My friend recommend Abercrombie’s version and I’m so glad I jumped on the bandwagon. They come in “short” and “extra short” lengths which is definitely necessary for styles that lean on the baggier side. The high waist is flattering and denim quality is on point.
Madewell Petite Cali Demi-Boot Jeans

Bootcut jeans will give you a more hourglass shaped silhouette. This is especially flattering if you have curvier hips and a smaller waist. This style is easy to dress up or down, making them a great option for any occasion.
Madewell is another great brand for petite sizing. I really like their Cali Demi-Boot Jeans because the flare is mild and the cropped length is easy to style all year round. I also appreciate that the denim is stretchy but sucks in what needs to be sucked in.
Final thoughts
If you’re looking for a good pair of petite jeans, consider trying one of these 3 styles. They come in many colors and washes so there’s bound to be one that’ll work with your wardrobe. Do you have any favorites? I’d love to hear them!
